Application Procedure
Thank you for your interest in the University of Wyoming Family Medicine Residency Program and the Thermopolis Rural Training Track. The Residency Program has one PGY-1 position available each year. Applications for the next Intern class must be completed through the Electronic Residency Application System (ERAS). We only accept first year residents through the National Resident Matching Program.
Requirements for Applicants
Only ERAS applications will be accepted
Three letters of recommendation are required (one from a family physician preferred)
Personal Statement: We have no specific requirements but would like to hear why you are choosing Family Medicine
No more than one failure on USMLE/COMLEX
Student Electives
Many students rotate with our program for audition rotation or rural FM rotation.
We do require some additional information to ensure true interest in full spectrum family medicine.
